As what I
have told you in my last blog, I think Romeo and Juliet is too harsh for me.
I’ve made my own ‘romantic and happy’ ending. Well, this is my own ending with
comic relief. I’m not good at jokes and I don’t think you’ll like this but, I
managed to make as well. Here it goes:
Juliet came with the
vial that contains the poison. In depression, she drank it but not all of it.
Right there and then, she fall asleep by a tomb that she thinks is Romeo’s.
Friar Laurence made the poison but he made sure that it won’t kill Juliet. As expected, she fell asleep for a very long
time.
Romeo heard of the news;
Juliet is dead. There, he went to the ‘tomb’ of Juliet immediately. There, he
saw the body of Juliet. He cried so hard. Then, he saw the vial of poison right
beside Juliet. He got it and he nearly drank it. Just then, he saw Count Paris
standing there. He acted as if he will punch Paris. He just held Paris’ collar
and lifted him. He fought with Paris because he thought that Paris persuaded
Juliet to kill herself with the use of poison. Paris got irritated because of
the accusations of Romeo so, he told the truth to him; Juliet is not dead.
Romeo felt a relief in his body. He thanked Paris for the information and he
made friends with Paris. They talked for a while and told Paris about a plan that
he just made. Right there and then, Romeo lay beside Juliet and pretended that
he also died because of the poison.
Days later, the Capulets
visited Juliet. They were in shock to find out about Romeo. They were too sad
about their child’s love. They make amends with Romeo’s family. They made Paris
the right hand of Capulet without knowing that Paris is with Romeo and Juliet.
Now let’s get back with
the couple. After a week, they were awake already. They are too happy to find
them with each other again. Paris suddenly came and reminded Romeo about the
plan. They immediately went to Friar Laurence and asked him to remarry each
other. And they lived happily ever after.
What’s the comedy of
this story? The fact that the Capulets never thought that the poison is fake.
Ok, it’s too corny. Sorry for that.
